HOW TO SUPPLY AND FIT A NEW OAK HERRINGBONE PARQUET FLOOR

DAY ONE

Fitting begins on a new unfinished oak herringbone parquet floor. The blocks were supplied and delivered 5days previous, so they had time to acclimatise.

First we mark a line down the centre of the room and ensure the line is square and begin to fit the full blocks.

DAY TWO AND THREE

All remaining full blocks are fitted then we finish off fitting the floor by cutting out a two-block border using our festool rail saw and extractor all the way round the room and then fitting the remaining blocks.

DAY FOUR

Dust free floor sanding starting with our Lagler Hummel , Lagler flip and finished with our lagler trio. We then sealed the floor with Junckers BasePrime followed by Junkers h.p commercial lacquer.
